Sunset Starry Night Sky at the Beach Fluid Acrylic Painting House Paint ...

It's Summer Vacation (for me) and I'm going to the Beach.

I love the Sunset Night Sky! It is so peaceful at the beach, when the birds have calmed down for the night and the saves are rolling in and lapping at the rocks on the shore.

In this Fluid Acrylic Painting experiment I'm using only Behr Premium Plus Interior House Paint mixed only with Floetrol as the pouring medium. A real Hardware store challenge . (I'm not sponsored by anyone for this video)
There's some Dirty Cup pouring, Direct to Canvas Pouring, and some Swiping with a craft stick. The only actual Art Material was a 10 inch by 10 inch pre gessoed stretched canvas and really you could do this on a board from the hardware store too! I just didn't happen to have one late at night when I was recording the video. LOL!
Materials:
Craft Sticks (for stirring and swiping)
small cups to mix up the paint
Acrylic Paint ( Dark Blue, Dark Purple, Bright Yellow, Orange Red, Bright White and Dark Brown) I used Behr Premium Plus Ultra in these colors: Majestic Blue, Virtual Violet, Cherry Red, Yellow Grove, Nano White and Rave Raisin)

Flood Floetrol (I used this as the pouring medium- It is safe to use when you follow the directions on the packaging. Remember that the Material Safety Data Sheet for this product says don't Heat it as it can emit harmful fumes if heated- (Section 2 )click link for more safety information http://bit.ly/2szggeo

Recipe for All the Colors is the same-- 1:1 20 grams Paint to 20 grams Floetrol. I did NOT add any water or Silicon oil to any of the paints.

There's no silicon oil or torching in my projects as I am concerned about the longevity of the art work and about the possible long term side effects of burning the acrylic paints and any additives that the materials they are made from.

We all have to weigh the pros and cons of how we interact with our art supplies. Experimenting can be exciting and beautiful but there can be consequences we don't know about yet. As with any thing in life be informed by reputable sources and your own common sense. :)
