It's almost Halloween!

I hope that everyone is having a great Autumn and are getting ready for the spookiest night of the year. :)

For the first time in my adult life I have gotten politically active. The Race for the Washington State Gov. is really close So I have been maning phone banks, phoning to support our curent Gov. that hasn't left me much time for crafty stuff but ...

I have been doing a few different crafty things, punch needle embroidery, knitting fingerless mitts and a hat and then finally I was able to get myself to settle down do a drawing/painting.

This raccoon was done from a really neat photo that I found. He's such a cheeky looking little guy and I tried to capture that in my drawing. The bark on the tree was sort of difficult and I'm not certain I pulled it off. I think it needs something. I'm going to have to wait and see what I think in a couple days.

So what do you think?
Happy thursday!!
Cheers, SB

I agree, the bark is awesome. It looks almost polished. If you think it needs something else, maybe add some dark brown specks to give it a rougher looking texture.

This is so cute, and I agree, the texture of the tree bark is perfect.
