DIY Doodle Gems Abalone Pearl Placecards Tutorial Ep33

I am in love with the Abalone Pearl Doodle Gems! It is so easy and fun to draw and color these gifts of nature. Everyone is unique and special! With just some cardstock and colored pencils you can fill your world with beauty.

SPECIAL SURPRISE FOR YOU! Go to my Pinterest page for a free Fall Cards / coloring page Printable! https://www.pinterest.com/pin/281756520417782801/ Surprise your guests when they come to dinner with these fun and beautiful place cards! These little cards also work great as tuck in cards to say "I love you" or "I'm thinking of you" put in a lunch bag or drop on a friend's desk at work. :)

Materials I used in this Tutorial:

White heavy cardstock that is smooth--I used Neenah Solar White 110lb. You can also use Bristol Smooth 100lb for this project

Colored pencils that have Bright Opaque Pigments. I used Prismacolor Premiere Pencils in these colors:

Dahlia Purple, Imperial Violet, Chartruse, Spring Green, Non-Photo Blue, Indigo Blue, Magenta, White and a colorless Blender.

If you have other colored pencils you basically want a Bright and a Medium/Dark of Green, Purple, Blue and a bright Pinkish Red.

You will want a Black Fine line Pen for doodling- I used a Pitt Artist Pen size S
And a White Signo Uniball UM-153 --you can use any white acrylic paint and a fine brush for the highlights.

The most important things you need to be successful with any of my doodle gems projects are the willingness to learn and to be easy on yourself as you are learning. We tend to be our worst critics and we need to learn to be kind to ourselves.
