Fun time Friday!

It looks like the 3rd time is the charm. It looks hard and shiny and rock like to my mind. I've included in the scan the actual rock for this one. :)

The painting was done with Albrecht Durer watercolor pencils in my handmade wc journal. Figuring out the right colors to use was interesting too. Browns, reds, yellows, sepia, and paynes grey.

Have you ever got stuck on a subject and had to keep trying to do it until you finally were happy with the out come?

I know that I get a little fixated on a subject and I have to keep doing it until I'm happy.

I hope you have a great weekend and get to do something creative!
cheers,
SB

I really like this rock. It looks more real than the first one.

This is excellent and showing the rock photo really shows what a good job you did.

Lovely work. Drawing/ painting rocks and stones is so difficult!!! You did a fantastic job and I know what you mean about getting stuck and having to keep at it until you crack it. Well done.

You did a great job with this one! Maybe the other one didn't look very realistic because the subject itself was unusual?

This rock ROCKS! You are right. It seems hard, shine-y and very rock-like. The colors are good.

Excellent! I didn't see your other rock drawing but I know what you mean about working a subject until you are satisfied with the result. Great job here!
