This time I went for a lighter and brighter effect. I think it works except that line around the biggest marble. All done with Prismacolor Watercolor Pencils on 140# watercolor paper.
There will be a 3rd time and hopefully I'll get it right next time.
What do you think? Is it better, worse or just different??
let me know!
Cheers, SB

I think this version is a bit better. Much brighter.
I like the area on the ground where the light passes through the marble and lights it up.
I loved the other one too - they're both beautiful! Like Karen I like the light, and the marbles's beautiful colors.
I like this one much better. Actually, I like the darker edge to the big marble. I have seen many glass items like that.
Yes, a good job with the color and lighting effects. did you learn something different than from the fisrt study? i think the artist of our time and culture in general just want it the first time. When i do do several of an image I get much more out of it. Just like a home cooked meal verse fast food. Know what I mean?
I love the play of light on the surface - you've captured that so well.
I love the sense of reflected light you've got in this one.
